Kate is Market President and Publisher of the Nashville Business Journal who is passionate about innovation, growth and Nashville. 

Kate has over 21 years with the company and leads the Nashville Business Journal to provide local business news and make connections through a weekly edition, NashvilleBusinessJournal.com, social media and over 50 events a year.

Kate and the Nashville Business Journal team create programs, publications and products for the Nashville business community including the Women of Influence Awards, Crane Watch, Most Admired CEOs Awards, Best Places to Work Awards, and Expand: a discussion on Race, Diversity and Inclusion, to name a few. She has done numerous public speaking engagements and developed a presentation on Networking for New Business delivered over 70 groups.

The Nashville Business journal is owned by Charlotte, NC-based American City Business Journals Inc, which owns 42 Business Journals in the United States. In 2007, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Herman and the Nashville Business Journal team won the American City Business Journals Eagle Award for Overall Excellence for outstanding performance in newspaper product and succeeding goals.

Currently, Kate serves on the boards of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Center for Nonprofit Management and the Mayor's Council on Gender Equity. She is a graduate of the Leadership Nashville class of 2009 and is a member of the Downtown Rotary.
