Speaker: Kip Smith, President & CEO, Noranda Aluminum

Kip Smith took the helm at Noranda in March 2008, bringing his diverse leadership experience and commodity cycle background to bear in what soon became one of the most difficult business environments since the Great Depression. Including his time at Noranda, Kip has led businesses for over 25 years, including various management positions with The Dow Chemical Company, as COO of Resolution Performance Products and as CEO of Covalence Specialty Materials.

Kip holds an MBA from Harvard University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, also from Harvard.

Since joining Noranda, Kip has assembled a deep and talented group of professionals with strong backgrounds in a variety of cyclical and commodity industries. Through that management team, Kip has implemented an operating model focused on delivering what he terms "the two #1 priorities" - Getting the Results, and Doing the Right Things the Right Way.
