Dr. David Snowden

Dr. David L. Snowden is serving in his sixteenth year as the Director of Schools for the Franklin Special School District. The FSSD has an approximate enrollment of 3,700 students, seven schools, 700 employees and a total general purpose budget of approximately $45.7 million dollars. He served as superintendent of the Pascagoula School District in Mississippi prior to accepting the position as Director of Schools for the Franklin Special School District in July, 2001. 
 
David is a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary and Board member of the United Way of Williamson County (Emeritus) and the Boys and Girls Club.  In addition, David is a graduate of Leadership Franklin and treasurer for the Steering Committee of Youth Leadership Franklin.
 
He and his wife Kathy have three children and seven grandchildren.
