Williamson County business and community leaders are invited to come together at the Franklin Marriott in Cool Springs, October 18 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for the 3rd Annual Transportation Summit driven by Nissan. Each attendee will leave the Summit equipped with ideas on how to promote mobility in their respective organizations and neighborhoods and be informed on the future of transportation in Williamson County. Troy is a professional land use and transportation planner with 24 years of public and private sector experience in community planning, public facilitation, and the integration of urban design and transportation.  Troy is recognized as being at the forefront of transit oriented development policy, creating pedestrian friendly environments, and working with multiple stakeholders in leveraging both public and private investments to create more livable and memorable communities. 

Prior to joining Kimley-Horn, Troy was the Director of Planning and Building Safety for Louisville, CO (Money Magazine’s most livable small town in 2009 and 2011). Troy was responsible for all land use, urban design, and transportation planning for the City.  During his tenure, among other things, led the City of Louisville’s planning and design of the US 36 and McCaslin’s innovative multimodal Diverging Diamond Interchange and coordinated the City’s participation in the overall planning and design of the entire US 36 BRT and Express Lanes Project.

Prior to joining City of Louisville, Troy led the Transportation Urban Design Studio at Glatting Jackson, a national consultancy based in Orlando.  Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront in rethinking land use and transportation conventions to create a balanced transportation systems which facilitate the successful redevelopment of urban and suburban communities.  Projects Troy led outside of Colorado include the City of Chattanooga’s reclamation of River Front Parkway from a freeway design to a two-lane urban parkway.  Orlando’s fully funded $1.3 billion Community Venues Master Plan, and the City of Charlotte’s integrated land use and transit systems plan.
